Reservations can generally be made from 6 to 8 weeks in advance for all ticket types, and are compulsory for some advance tickets. However, you can normally reserve a seat up to two hours before the train leaves it's origin station. For early morning services, remember to reserve by close of business the day before.

Find your seat

Your reservation will show the coach letter and your seat number (A) an airline-style seat with fold down table.

Coach letters are displayed next to entrance doors. On journeys to and from London Euston, your reservation will be displayed by a paper label attached to the head rest of your seat. For all other journeys, seat numbers are displayed electronically above each seat. If you can't find your reserved seat, ask a member of the Virgin Trains onboard team and they'll be happy to help you.

We carry bikes with advance reservations on all Virgin Trains. Folding bikes carried as personal baggage go free. Remember to reserve your bike place at the same time you buy your ticket, as space is subject to availability.
