Travelling with us over the festive season
Remembering to order the turkey and searching the shops for the perfect gift makes Christmas a stressful time of year. Don't add to your hassles, plan ahead to ensure you get to your festive destination without a hitch. As a little gift from us, you will be able to travel on Off-Peak tickets all day from 24 December until 1 January inclusive.
Service information over Christmas
There's a small amount of improvement works happening over this period, most of which shouldn't affect your journey. Please check our improvements page for more details and take note of the revised services below.

| Monday 30 December | Revised early morning services into and out of Euston. Some trains start or terminate north of Euston before 1030 (check timetables) |
| Tuesday 31 December | Last services will be earlier than normal. (check timetables) |
| Wednesday 1 January | Services start later than normal. Reduced services all day affecting Manchester, West Midlands and Chester / North Wales trains. Trains to and from Edinburgh are diverted and depart earlier and arrive later than normal |
| Thursday 2 January | Normal service resumes. |

From the afternoon of Tuesday 24 December until Wednesday 1 January inclusive, you can travel with us for our Off-Peak prices, on any day, at any time.
Please check your journey details before you travel.
If you’re buying an Advance ticket, you can reserve a seat online. Reservations for Off-Peak or Anytime bookings can be made at your nearest station.
We will be operating a reduced timetable between Tuesday 24 December and Wednesday 1 January inclusive. You will also be able to find a cheaper ticket if you can be flexible with your travel dates and times. Check our Best Fare Finder for the best prices.
Our services will start again on Friday 27 December, however services will start later than normal so please check before you travel.
Upgrade to First Class
From Tuesday 24 December until Monday 1 January 2014 inclusive you can upgrade to First Class for up to £15. You'll find yourself in a very special place, where you can stretch out and enjoy free Wi-Fi, power access at every table and complimentary light refreshments.
During this period we will be offering a weekend First Class food service. Normal food service resumes on Thursday 2 January 2014.
