Mobile app support

Take a look at our list of supported handsets to see if your phone is compatible with our app.

• Select the 'Find Trains' option from the main screen.
• This will take you to the 'Buy Ticket' page, where you can select the journey you want.
• After you have chosen your journey, including the departure and return dates (if necessary), you will be shown the ticket options available for your journey and their price.
• Select the ticket you wish to buy, and you will be shown any restrictions for that ticket.
• Now you will be asked to select the 'Payment Option' you wish to use. Either Debit or Credit Card. (Remember, there's no charges for using any card)
• Once you have chosen how you want to pay, you will be asked to input the payment card details into the app on your mobile. Once this is complete, you will be shown a final confirmation of your journey before you confirm the purchase.
• To purchase the ticket, simply select 'Buy' on the 'Final Confirmation' page.
• Now you can view your ticket in the 'My Tickets' section on the app. Here, you can check your ticket details, including collections and validity information.

Important information:
All bookings made using the app are completely secure. All purchases are made directly to the debit or credit card used.
Note: Train timetable information is updated daily using information provided by National Rail. Therefore, any last minute changes to a service or route may not be reflected in the timetable on our app.

If you have chosen FastTicket delivery, you can collect your ticket by going to a self-service FastTicket machine (located at your departure station) with the card you used to purchase your ticket.

m-tickets (available on Advance fares between London & Manchester and London & Birmingham) will be sent directly to your phone once your booking is completed. You'll find your ticket under the My Ticket tab in the app.

You can buy as many tickets as you like, for up to eight passengers at a time.

If you have purchased an m-ticket this will be sent directly to your phone and you can find this in the My Ticket tab in the app. If you have chosen FastTicket delivery, your ticket will not appear on your phone and will need collecting from a self-service FastTicket machine (located at your departure station) with the card you used to purchase your ticket.

When booking an Anytime or Off-Peak ticket on our app you can make a reservation for the outward journey. If you book an Advance ticket you will have a seat reservation as normal.
