Kids bags
If you are travelling with children on Virgin Trains over the school summer, Christmas or Easter holidays, make sure you pick up one of our two cool Kids Bag's for 5-7's & 8-12 year olds. This year's bags include books, games, activity sheets, crayons, a Traveller’s log to record details of your journey and our very own Kids magazines, VTK and VTK+. Bags are available while stocks last from a member of our onboard team.
Child fares
These are usually half the normal adult fare, with children under the age of 5 travelling free. Child fares also apply on our Virgin Value Fares, providing some of the best value rail fares in the UK. Child fares apply to those under the age of 16.
For just £24 a year, your Family & Friends Railcard will get you 1/3 off adult fares when you travel with the kids and 60% off the cost of their tickets. Up to four adults and four children can travel on one card and they don't even need to be related. You can also use your Family & Friends Railcard on our Advance fares and make even greater savings.
