As part of the £8bn West Coast Line upgrade project, improvement works are taking place throughout the summer at weekends and some weekdays. In total 1,695 miles of track is being replaced*. Please bear with us, but we're working hard with Network Rail to bring you an even faster and more frequent service in 2009.
Whilst most engineering work is completed on time, some projects do overrun by hours at very short notice. You are strongly advised to check your journey details before you travel by either selecting your date of travel from the below calendar, or check for Live Travel Information updates on virgintrains.com.
