    What is happening?

    There will be no train services between Wolverhampton and Stafford.


    Anglo - Scottish services will be diverted via Nuneaton 

    Alternative route:

    For local journeys, rail replacement coaches will operate between Wolverhampton to Stafford.

  • London Euston to Watford Junction

    Routes:

    • London - Birmingham - Wolverhampton
    • London & West Midlands - Chester & North Wales
    • London - Liverpool & Manchester
    • London & West Midlands - North West & Scotland

    Date: From Sunday 24 August until Monday 25 August

    What is happening?

    As part of Network Rail’s £81m major improvement scheme on the West Coast Main Line at Watford Junction there will be the following changes to our timetable.


    Most of our services will start from / terminate at either Milton Keynes Central or Rugby, with the exception of an hourly service between London Euston, Coventry and Birmingham International, via High Wycombe and Leamington Spa on the Chiltern route.

    Alternative route:

    COVENTRY and RUGBY to/from LONDON EUSTON: One service per hour in each direction via the Chiltern route.


    WEST MIDLANDS: One service per hour between the Rugby and the West Midlands


    MANCHESTER: Two services per hour, one between Manchester and Milton Keynes (diverted via the West Midlands) and one between Manchester and Rugby in each direction


    NORTH WALES: Services to Holyhead will start from/terminate at Crewe


    LIVERPOOL: Services will start from/ terminate at Rugby, calling additionally at Nuneaton


    NORTH and SCOTLAND: Services will start from/ terminate at Rugby, calling additionally at Nuneaton

    Advice:

    Passengers are advised to use alternative routes where possible, or use our service from London Euston, diverted via the Chiltern route to the West Midlands, to connect into / out of our services.


     

  • Reduction in services and extended journey times

    Routes:

    • London - Birmingham - Wolverhampton
    • London & West Midlands - Chester & North Wales
    • London - Liverpool & Manchester
    • London & West Midlands - North West & Scotland

    Date: Monday 18 August

    What is happening?

    Until 16.30, route improvement work will be taking place between London Euston and Hemel Hempstead.


    Journey times between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central will be extended.

    Alternative route:

    Services on the North Wales route, will start from / terminate at Milton Keynes Central.


    Until 16.30, services on the West Midlands and Manchester Piccadilly routes, will be reduced to two services per hour, in each direction. 

    Advice:

    Journey planner and ticketing enquiries, will be made available 12 weeks in advance of travel date.
