  • London Underground escalator maintenance

    Date: From Thursday 10 July until Saturday 15 November

    What is happening?

    As supplied by London Underground.


    There will be no down escalator to the Victoria line and Northern line (Bank branch) at Euston station.


    Access will be via the spiral stairs only. 


     

    Alternative route:

    Thursday 10 July until early November: There will be no down escalator to southbound trains.


    Early November 2014 until late March 2015: There will be no down escalator to northbound trains.


     


       

    Advice:

    While London Underground refurbish two escalators, one at a time, you are likely to queue both outside the station and in passageways.


    To avoid delays, please use nearby Warren Street for the Victoria line or King's Cross St. Pancras for the Northen line (Bank Branch)

  • Crewe to Chester diversions

    Routes:

    What is happening?

    The 20.10 London Euston to Chester service will run as booked to Crewe, then diverted via Sandbach, Middlewich and MIckle Trafford Junction.


    The 20.20 Bangor to Birmingham New Street service, will be diverted from Chester via Mickle Trafford Junction, Helsby, Warrington Bank Quay and Weaver Junction, running later from Crewe. This service will also be diverted from Wolverhampton to Birmingham New Street via Bescot and Aston. 

  • Between Liverpool LIme Street and Runcorn

    Routes:

    What is happening?

    The line between Runcorn and Liverpool Lime Street, will have limited access all day. Most services will operate in both directions between:


    London Euston to Crewe.


    Crewe to Liverpool Lime Street


     

    Alternative route:

    There will however be two direct services in each direction:


    From LOndon Euston at 15:05 and 20:05


    From Liverpool Lime Street at 11:47 and 17:47

    Rail replacement coaches will operate between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton.   

  • Manchester route - Late night alterations

    Late night services on the London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly route, will be subject to diversions en route, not calling at all booked stations.

    What is happening?

    The 05.05 Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston service, will depart earlier than booked, diverted not calling at Stockport, calling additionally at Wilmslow.

    Alternative route:

    A rail replacement coach will depart from Manchester Piccadilly at 05.05, calling at Stockport only.
    A rail replacement coach is provided, for passengers at Stockport, wishing to connect into this service. It will depart at 04.40, calling at Wilmslow only.

  • 21.40 and 23.00 London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly

    Routes:

    • London - Liverpool & Manchester

    Date: From Monday 11 August until Friday 15 August

    What is happening?

    21.40 and 23.00 London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly services, will be diverted via Stafford and Crewe, not calling at Macclesfield or Stockport.


     

    Alternative route:

    Rail replacement coaches will be in operation, calling at booked stations missed, due to diversions. 

  • 20.40 and 21.00 London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly

    Routes:

    • London - Liverpool & Manchester

    20.40 London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly service, diverted from Wilmslow, not calling at Stockport.

    What is happening?

    There will be no train services between Wolverhampton and Stafford.


    Anglo - Scottish services will be diverted via Nuneaton 

    Alternative route:

    For local journeys, rail replacement coaches will operate between Wolverhampton to Stafford.

  • Stockport to Wilmslow / Macclesfield

    Routes:

    • London - Liverpool & Manchester

    Date: Sunday 17 August

    What is happening?

    Services from Wilmslow to Manchester Piccadilly, will be diverted and not call at Stockport.


    Services from Stoke-on-Trent to Manchester Piccadilly, will be diverted via Alsager and not call at Macclesfield or Stockport.

    Alternative route:

    Rail replacement coaches will be provided, to make journeys between:


    Wilmslow - Stockport


    Wilmslow - Macclesfield 

    Advice:

    For journeys between Stockport - Macclesfield - Stoke-on-Trent, other Train Operating companies will be provided alternative transport.

  • London Euston to Watford Junction

    Routes:

    • London - Birmingham - Wolverhampton
    • London & West Midlands - Chester & North Wales
    • London - Liverpool & Manchester
    • London & West Midlands - North West & Scotland

    Date: From Sunday 24 August until Monday 25 August

    What is happening?

    As part of Network Rail’s £81m major improvement scheme on the West Coast Main Line at Watford Junction there will be the following changes to our timetable.


    Most of our services will start from / terminate at either Milton Keynes Central or Rugby, with the exception of an hourly service between London Euston, Coventry and Birmingham International, via High Wycombe and Leamington Spa on the Chiltern route.

    Alternative route:

    COVENTRY and RUGBY to/from LONDON EUSTON: One service per hour in each direction via the Chiltern route.


    WEST MIDLANDS: One service per hour between the Rugby and the West Midlands


    MANCHESTER: Two services per hour, one between Manchester and Milton Keynes (diverted via the West Midlands) and one between Manchester and Rugby in each direction


    NORTH WALES: Services to Holyhead will start from/terminate at Crewe


    LIVERPOOL: Services will start from/ terminate at Rugby, calling additionally at Nuneaton


    NORTH and SCOTLAND: Services will start from/ terminate at Rugby, calling additionally at Nuneaton

    Advice:

    Passengers are advised to use alternative routes where possible, or use our service from London Euston, diverted via the Chiltern route to the West Midlands, to connect into / out of our services.


     

  • Reduction in services and extended journey times

    Routes:

    • London - Birmingham - Wolverhampton
    • London & West Midlands - Chester & North Wales
    • London - Liverpool & Manchester
    • London & West Midlands - North West & Scotland

    Date: Monday 18 August

    What is happening?

    Until 16.30, route improvement work will be taking place between London Euston and Hemel Hempstead.


    Journey times between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central will be extended.

    Alternative route:

    Services on the North Wales route, will start from / terminate at Milton Keynes Central.


    Until 16.30, services on the West Midlands and Manchester Piccadilly routes, will be reduced to two services per hour, in each direction. 

    Advice:

    Journey planner and ticketing enquiries, will be made available 12 weeks in advance of travel date.

    LIVERPOOL: Services will start from/ terminate at Rugby, calling additionally at Nuneaton


    NORTH and SCOTLAND: Services will start from/ terminate at Rugby, calling additionally at Nuneaton

    Passengers are advised to use alternative routes where possible, or use our service from London Euston, diverted via the Chiltern route to the West Midlands, to connect into / out of our services.
