Virgin Trains Which ticket is right for you
Everyone loves a good deal and the good news is there are lots of flexible ways of how you can save money when booking train tickets with us.

To make things easy (and perhaps a touch more titillating) check out our short Kama Sutra video to help bring out the booking God/Goddess in you:

Thirsty for more?

Well, for those that plan to book ahead and are a little pliable, our ‘Advance’, ‘Off Peak’ and ‘Super Off Peak’ tickets can get you great savings. Simply put, the earlier you book, the better the price. In fact, by booking up to 3 months ahead, you can snap up our lowest price fare by making the most of our ‘Advance’ fare. Our dazzling best fare finder picks out all our lowest price tickets for you, so you can spot what days and times are cheapest.

And what of travelling ‘Off Peak’? If you are able to avoid the busiest hours, there are lots of cheap fares to snap up and you may even get a whole table seat to yourself! But we can’t make any promises. We also have (superlative alert!) ‘Super Off Peak’ tickets on selected direct services between London and Rugby, Coventry, Birmingham and Wolverhampton. Just check before you book and see what ticket types are available.

They say “two’s company and three’s a crowd”, but we like rewarding companionship! So we also offer some great group discounts. In fact, if you are travelling in a group of 3 – 9 people, you can save up to 20% off selected fares. What if your “crowd” is your family? Well, with children aged 5 to 15 costing half an Adult fare, and Children under 5 travelling for free, travelling with the family can be pretty easy and affordable with Virgin Trains.

What if there’s more than 10 of you? The more really is the merrier, as with a group of 10 or more you can benefit from a bespoke discount. Plus, we know that organising a large group can get pretty stressful, so why not let one of our travel gurus look after your entire journey? From taking care of booking, to finding your seats and onward travel advice, our staff will happily help you plan your journey. All you need to do is contact us and we will see what we can do to make you feel like a Virgin Trains VIP.

Last but not least, a rather simple way to get a little more bang for your buck is to invest in a Railcard. Did you know that a Railcard is likely to save you up to £100 every year? Plus, there are so many to pick from! Luckily we have all the different Railcards explained here so you can find the right one for you.

With all that to consider and no booking fees or card charges, booking a trip with us will make it feel more like saving than spending. Oh and don’t forget your Nectar card because if you are a cardholder you will get 2 points for every £1 you spend on Virgin Trains journeys. For more information click here.
