We can’t sell you any kind of Season Ticket without a valid photocard. But if you’re renewing your Season Ticket you can use your existing card. Remember that you can’t use any form of railcard (including Young Persons) as a photocard. And you’ll need both your photocard and your ticket when you’re travelling, to show for inspection.
Not usually, no. Because Season Tickets are already discounted travel, generally you can’t use a Railcard with them. There are a few exceptions though; the Job Centre Plus Travel Discount Card, Highland Railcards and Young Scot National Entitlement Card (16-18 year olds) can all get further discounts.
If you don’t have your Season Ticket with you, you’ll have to pay for your journey as normal. You can then apply for a refund on that ticket. Just call this number 03445 56 56 50. But remember that you won’t get a full refund every time! Fares are refunded as follows:
- First Occasion - Full refund (no administration fee is charged)
- Second Occasion - Refund less administration fee (Currently £5.00)
- Third and any subsequent occasion in a 12-month period - No Refund
