As you might have guessed, Edinburgh has a strong regal history but Holyroodhouse is perhaps the jewel in the crown! It’s the Queen's official Edinburgh residence and has been used by some of Scotland’s most famous royal figures. When the Queen's away, you can visit the Historic Apartments, the former home of Mary Queen of Scots.
