Anytime

If you’re feeling spontaneous, or you don’t like being tied to specific train times, choose an Anytime fare. You get complete freedom to hop on any train you want, whenever you want. 

Anytime tickets also give you the freedom to break your journey at any station along your route (ideal for a bit of sightseeing or overnight stay).

Anytime single tickets are valid for up to two days after you purchase them. Anytime return tickets are valid up to five days after you purchase them for your outward journey (and then the return part of your journey is valid for up to a month).

Off-Peak fares are a great way to save money on the full price fare. You can buy them at any time, then travel during those quieter off-peak periods.

If you’re not travelling to a tight deadline, Off-Peak fares might be perfect for you. Aim to travel during the middle of the day and evenings, or at weekends. If you can be flexible with your journey times, choose an Off-Peak ticket.
